Stephanie got her start in the art world by winning a grocery store coloring contest at age six. She walked away with a kite and a dream was born. While majoring in Graphic Design in college, Stephanie continued drawing first by hand and then with a mouse. She made custom invitations and cards for friends and families. Stephanie began creating greeting cards featuring Koolachies™ characters in 2000. After selling them locally in the Kansas City area, she exhibited at the Stationary Show in New York in 2004. Attendees responded to the adorable animals and many people asked if they were available on other products. Since then, redletter design studio has focused on creating fun and whimsical properties for licensing.
